Dealing With Doubts? Are You Like Me?

Are you an active believer who sometimes struggles with swirling thoughts? Sometimes, I am.

Sometimes I feel like I was really supposed to do something, but then the outcome wasn't what I hoped for.

I wonder if I missed it. And then I wonder if it was a test. Or maybe what happened was a stepping stone pointing me to something new I couldn't have seen without it. (See what I mean about the swirling thoughts?) How are you supposed to know?

I wish I could KNOW what to do every time and just do the right thing in the first place.

I feel that way about helping others too. I want to give them good advice to get the outcomes they are looking for. I want them to be sure about what they are doing every time and just do the next right thing.

If you are like me, these mental struggles then lead to questions like, "Why does it seem so hard to hear from God?" and "How can I help others if my own life has struggles?"

Understanding Coaching Culture shifted how I feel about my own journey AND gave me tools to truly help others as well.

When I realized that my walk with God wasn't about doing things right and then getting rewarded with preferred outcomes, it changed how I viewed my walk with God and how I could be there for others as well.

Turns out God is more interested in being with us than making sure our lives move toward all our preferred outcomes. It's the same with others. When we talk to them, we often want to help them get rid of whatever is disturbing them as efficiently as possible, when perhaps our goal should be to help them connect with God IN their stuff.

In John 16, Jesus is revealing to His disciples that there are some hard times coming; then He says in vs 33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

I think we often assume that if we are "right" with God, there shouldn't be struggles in our journey, or that if we had it together, we could make the choices that would keep us from difficulties.

What if God wants to use all we go through for good in our lives?

What if He wants us to know Him more as we go through things rather than avoid them?

We've seen Coaching Culture benefit people's relationships with God personally, as well as bring life to their relationships with others.

The freedom I felt when I realized I didn't need to come up with solutions when others shared their stuff with me was enlightening.

Coach Training gave me:

  • a new perspective on processing my own journey with God
  • skills to learn to discern God's voice in my life
  • a pathway to help others face the "" in their lives

If you are ready to go deeper in your own walk and help others do the same, we are launching a new course we've nicknamed “Coaching Lite” that can help you personally and help you help others.
