What If "It" Would Make All The Difference? All 6 Reporter Questions

If you have ever thought about coach training, or even never thought about it, these Q's are for you!

1. WHO should consider coach training?

If you are a parent, pastor, marketplace leader, small group leader, have neighbors, or family relationships, coach training can enhance every conversation and enable your influence to have deep kingdom effect!

2. WHAT does it cover?

Coach Training includes a foundational study of Active Listening and Asking Powerful Questions, then goes on to the principles in the ROAD. The power of Recognizing what to focus on, the empowering personal agency of Ownership, developing Action Steps and then maintaining the gain of Dedication.

All these tools can be used in casual conversation as well as coaching sessions.

3. WHEN would be a good time to take it?

Maybe that is a question only you can answer, but I will say that if you wait until you have time, you may not get to what is most valuable when you need it most.

I've never heard anyone say they wished they put this off, but I have heard many people say they wished they took it sooner!

4. WHERE does it happen?

Many coach training programs require some courses to be held in person. We intentionally do not offer ours that way for two reasons:

  • We space out the training. So, rather than a crash course in concentrated material within a condensed time frame, we offer this paradigm shift in bite-sized portions. There is plenty of information out there, but we want to offer a transformation of the way people interact, which we feel comes best in smaller doses.
  • All our training happens online. This allows for a considerable cost reduction as there are no travel expenses added on. Offering online also allows people to join from anywhere; we currently have alumni from 26 states and 4 countries!

5. WHY do we offer coach training?

Honestly, when I first took coach training over 15 years ago, I saw the value in helping pastors and leaders, parents and friends, family members, and more understand the Biblical way to help people grow. In my mind, coaching IS discipleship.

Coaching is a set of conversational tools used to help people discern what God is saying to them and take steps toward the future He intends for them!
