Three Kinds of Readers - and CTA's for all Three!
There are basically 3 kinds of people reading the Bridges blogs, and we have a CTA (call to action) for each kind.
1) Those who have taken Bridges Coach Training and want to stay in the groove and be reminded of ways to keep a coaching mindset in the forefront of their interactions. (They get that Coaching IS discipleship, in that its primary tenet is to help people learn to discern God's voice and have the courage to follow - NOT solving their problems for them or telling them what to do.)

Why Coach Training Isn't Just For Potential Professionals
2) Those who are thinking about taking Coach Training but may not be sure of the timing. Can I propose that you ask yourself some of these questions to help discern your decision:
- Can you name what is holding you back? If it's a prompting from God, you should wait - for sure; if it is something else, like busyness, or fear, or procrastination - then perhaps you need to ask God for the courage to step out in faith and move forward.
- What are you saying "yes" to that may be taking time God wants you to focus elsewhere? Is there anything He may want you to put to pause or even say "no" to for this season to give you space to lean into coach training?
- Do you have a pattern of putting things off? If so, perhaps this is your moment to go for it and pull the trigger? But again, if you are feeling God prompting you to wait- then please do so!
3) Maybe you have been interested in Coaching but aren't sure due to the cost. Here are some thoughts, an announcement I need to share, and some alternative options.
Thoughts: If you are interested in coach training, but the cost has held you back, consider these possibilities - do you have an ed allowance, or could you ask your board? I had a small church pastor interested and asked his board, and they paid in full. He didn't have a dedicated ed allowance budget, but thought it was worth a shot, and they came through.
What would it be worth to you to feel more confident as you help others move forward in their faith journey? Ever feel like you would like to be more effective or helpful when people share their "stuff" with you? Maybe this investment is worth the cost. (See the blog above.)
Coach Training is considerably cheaper (and shorter) than an educational degree. In my own story, I share how I learned SO MUCH MORE from my coach training that I am using in real life than I did from my Master's in Ministry.
