7Ā Valid Reasons NOT to Take Coach Training

Okay, this is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but consider these thoughts. (Maybe coach training is worth considering?!)*

#1 I don't want to set up a coaching practice, so coach training is overkill.

While we do help professionals set up a practice, most of our trainees use their coaching in their real life jobs, families, and friendships.

#2 My conversations are impactful, and the people I interact with walk away with a plan. I rarely have repeat conversations with anyone who has the same issues over and over.

If you are like most people, you have recurring conversations that are not life-givng for you or the other person. Coach Training helps identify the value of choosing to name an issue rather than just keep talking about it, and then making a plan to address whatever is going on.

#3 I'm living my life on purpose and feel I am making quality decisions about where to focus.

Coach Training not only helps you help others, it helps you help yourself. Taking your hopes and dreams out of the dream cloud and actually choosing goals with doable action steps is a game-changer resulting in forward movement!

#4 I have free time in my schedule because I have chosen what should be there and what can wait.

How many of us can say we love the pace of our lives because we have chosen it intentionally?

#5 People around me feel stronger after talking with me. They feel empowered with clarity, encouragement, and confidence.

Most of us avoid difficult or repetitive conversations. What if they could be turned into opportunities for actual life change - for you and for the other person! (Sounds like considering it all joy when we face problems? Sound Biblical?)

#6 My friends and family feel heard (and not managed) after talking with me.

Active listening is one of the core pillars in Coach Training - right alongside Asking Powerful Questions!

#7 I don't feel any pressure or obligation to "make things better" for the people around me.

This one may be the biggest reason for me personally. I just want to help people see what God has for them and get UNSTUCK. Coach Training has enlightened me on how I can help people without carrying them! This is a primary reason I love to see pastors and parents of adult children take coach training. Helping people learn how to connect with God's plan for their lives and carry their own loads is not only freeing for you, but empowering for them!

If the above statements are all true for you - CONGRATS! You are likely a follower of Jesus and actively involved in the Great Commission - making disciples.

If, like most, you could benefit by making one or more of these statements experientially more true for you, our next cohort is open for registration till Jan 22 OR consider the video training at your own pace.

NOTE: Group classes for this cohort are happening Thursday afternoons.

I'll be honest - the coaching certification course is more expensive and more time-consuming, but it is also an immersive adult learning experience. The video training comes with a workbook and offers the same concepts. It could be a good choice as well - it is less expensive, but also has time-limited access, and takes self-discipline to actually complete the course. We encourage people to find someone else to do the course with them.

Click here for information on both the upcoming certification cohort and the video training (keep scrolling to the bottom.)
